UM Australia has announced the appointment of Liam Loan-Lack to general manager of UM Brisbane.
He will also join UM’s senior leadership Team, reporting to CEO Fiona Johnston.
Johnston said: “Liam brings a new level of care, smarts and energy to a great market – and much valued rigour and passion to do the best work for our clients.”
“I think Brisbane is often overlooked as a key market, but we see it very much as a stronghold to innovate and lead”.
Loan-Lack’s career has focused on marketing, strategy, agency management and advertising effectiveness.
He will be a keen driver in ensuring the best talent development and support for the UM Brisbane team.
In his previous role, Loan-Lack’s remit was directing a large multidisciplinary client portfolio including Officeworks, ME Bank, ACTU and Specsavers at UM sister agency, Initiative.
Prior to this, he has held international roles in the UK.
Loan-Lack said: “I have been attracted to the Queensland market for some time as I firmly believe it has the potential to be the most creative and client-centric market in Australia.
“In all, I am proud to be leading an already very talented local team and of course, I look forward to the challenge of getting to know the Brisbane market – I will be taking all the lessons, humility and curiosity that has helped build my career so far into this new role”.
