Twitch will bring its Pog Picks live-shopping show down under tonight in a festive livestream to inspire Aussie shoppers searching for the perfect gift this silly season.

Netflix, Facebook Oculus and 7-Eleven are confirmed to be involved in the highly interactive, three-hour variety show, which will be jam-packed with festive entertainment and showcase shoppable items from sponsored brands.

Twitch’s Branded Partnerships Studio is producing the entire event, having previously worked with brands to design bespoke game show-esque segments to bolster authentic connection with online communities.

Hosts and popular gaming personalities, HexSteph and NichBoy will be broadcast live from a custom-built Sydney.

The show will feature festive cheer, laughs, and an extravagant gift wall of curated ‘presents’ from categories like technology, apparel and beauty.

Australian Twitch creators JonathanOng, MissMollyMakes, PlayitShady and Reapz will join the stream for a pets fashion show, holiday cooking, live music and more, as viewers engage with audience polls and a pop-culture trivia challenge.

The Twitch chat is also sure to be chock-full of banter, as well as chatbots sharing links to the show’s featured products for easy purchasing.

Head of sales for ANZ, Ricky Chanana, said Twitch was eager to replicate the success of the US’s Pog Picks in the down under market.

“Social commerce is making waves across the globe, and we’re so excited to bring this new way of shopping to Australia with a livestream that’s packed full of fun, holiday cheer for viewers and immersive, shoppable opportunities for brands,” he said.

“For our first Pog Picks Down Under event, we’re rolling out the purple carpet for such a high calibre of brands and local creators who are ready to connect with hard-to-reach Aussie consumers as they shop for festive gifts.

Picks Down Under will air live tonight from 6pm to 9pm AEDT via Twitch.
