Last night, The Golden Bachelor jumped up one spot from Monday night, winning a Total TV National Reach of 1,647,000 and a Total TV National Average Audience of 612,000 for Nine.

Over on Seven, MKR came out high again, securing a Total TV national Reach of 1,788,000 and a Total TV National Average Audience of 1,064,000.

Over on Channel 10, The Cheap Seats raked in a Total TV National Reach of 797,000 and a Total TV National Average Audience of 404,000.

ABC‘s 7.30 brought in a Total TV National Reach of 1,321,000 and a Total TV National Average Audience of 824,000.

Episode four of The Golden Bachelor saw glitz and glamour as the stars attended the first charity gala.

Abbie Chatfield didn’t hold back on Barry ‘Bear’ Myrden, even before her mum was eliminated from the list of contenders.

The Bachelor alum’s mum, Laura, was one of the women hoping to win Bear’s heart.

Bear hosted a fundraising gala for Cancer Council Australia, where the likes of former Bachelorette Angie Kent, TV presenter Richard Wilkins, and A Current Affair’s Ally Langdon were in attendance.

There was no beating around the bush for Abbie, who was direct with the Golden Bachelor when it came to his intentions with her mum.

“Have you gone on a date with her yet?” she asked Bear, who replied that he had not.

“Why haven’t you gone on a date with her yet?” she asked, to which he awkwardly replied, “Still lots of time”.

But there wasn’t enough time for Laura, who failed to score a rose at the show’s closing elimination ceremony.

Later in the episode, host Samantha Armytage arrived with another gold envelope, meaning date time! Barry ‘Bear’ Myrden wrote a single date invitation to Terri.

Her excitement showed in a big smile, while the other women’s disappointment and jealousy were palpable.

“I just want Bear and myself, I want to see what he’s like with me. I want to feel him, I want to touch him, I want to hold him, I want to hug him, I wanted to get close to this man,” Lauren said.

Terri met Bear under the Luna Park smile, with both hoping that some relaxed alone time would help her break down her walls.

They’ve got the park all to themselves, and sparks start to fly between the duo. They ride rollercoasters, bumper cars, and win a giant teddy bear; it’s the quintessential theme park experience.

After the rides, they sit down for dinner and a chat, where Terri opened up to Bear about the betrayal in her marriage and how that’s impacted her relationships since.

A kiss ends their successful date, and Terri can’t wait to get to know him further.

“I think he’s a really nice guy ,and I think he’s wearing his heart on his sleeve as well, I definitely feel my walls coming down,” she said.
