Chefs Ahoy, Princess Cruises’ show that airs weekly on Nine set sail on South Korea last night. The fourth episode of the inaugural season reached 1.34 million Aussies and served up a national average TV audience of 391,000.
In the episode Vincent Yeow Lim and Alice Zaslavsky arrived in Busan with one goal: to find the flavours that will give them the winning dish.
Yeow Lim hit the seafood markets in search of the freshest local produce, whilst Zaslavsky explored Bulgogi Town to learn the traditional art of making kimchi.
After their side quests the chefs jumped back on board to get more inspiration from the ship’s dining options before heading into the galley to create their own Korean-inspired dishes.
Hosted by Australian comedian Peter Helliar, Chefs Ahoy is a travel and cooking competition set on Princess Cruises that takes two of Australia’s best-known chefs, and pits them against each other in an epic cooking challenge.
The chefs must create a recipe based on their experience on board and in the port they visit and then serve it to thousands of hungry guests at the Captain’s Dinner.
Packed with great food, spectacular destinations, big personalities and plenty of humour, Chefs Ahoy is a global culinary battle where the chef who receives the most orders of their dish can sail away victorious with the Chefs Ahoy crown.
The show that airs at 8:45pm was edged out by the previous program The Block.
Nine’s renovation show in its final week reached 1.88 million people and raked in a reach of 1.08 million.
Over on Seven, The 1% Club UK was the broadcasters most watched program. The re-run managed to be played in 1.33 million households, gathering a reach of 779,000 people.
