With a double-room reveal looming, budgets blown, trades falling behind and contestants questioning whether their designs are worth the risk, The Block delivered a Total TV National Reach of 1,849,000 and a Total TV National Average Audience of 1,013,000.
Adam and Jolene were under mounting pressure in their main bedroom and walk-in robe, after spending two days trying to secure trades before suddenly bringing nine plasterers onto site. The move helped tackle their delays but essentially flushed their budget down the toilet.
Across the five houses, the teams were at different stages with time, money and trades becoming increasingly difficult to manage as the first double-room reveal approached. Rick and Tayla also faced a design dilemma over their herringbone flooring, after their real estate agent warned the choice could hinder their chances.
Not far behind was Seven’s The 1% Club UK which drew in a nation reach pf 1,584,000 and an average audience of 861,000.
Also on Seven, cult classic Home and Away boasted a national reach of 1,515,000 and an average audience of 1,075,000. The episode saw Beau’s alibi fall apart, Tane reach boiling point and Cash turn to Harper for help taking down Beau.
Nine’s Tipping Point Australia had a national reach of 1,465,000 and an avaerage audience of 825,000, while Seven’s rival format The Chase Australia had a national reach of 1,348,000 and an average audience of 720,000.
Over on ABC, Hard Quiz recorded a national reach of 842,000 and an average audience of 579,000. The episode saw Tom Gleeson put a fresh batch of contestants through their paces on the Beastie Boys, medieval footwear, NRLW and Sacha Baron Cohen.
Meanwhile, Ten’s new season of The Traitors Australia had a national reach of 935,000 and an average audience of 543,000 as the game turned in on itself. Alex Nation case the deciding vote to eliminate fellow traitor Alvin Quah, in a moment that not only blindsided Quah but also fractured the trio’s alliance with Kirby Bentley.
