Seven’s coverage of the Big Bash League has once again topped the overnight TV ratings charts.
Some 2.2 million people tuned into see the BBL grand final rematch between the Hobart Hurricanes and the Sydney Thunder. A national TV average of 650,000 people stayed locked into Seven as Hobart rubbed salt into the fresh Thunder womb, beating the Sydney team in consecutive matches.
Tasked with 180 runs for victory, the Hurricanes used up all but one ball to chase down the target. To add further insult Sydney are in danger of losing superstar batter Sam Konstas for a couple of matches after a ball struck him in the elbow during his innings.
Nine’s Taronga: Who’s Who In The Zoo continues to draw in viewers. The broadcasters most watched entertainment program gathered a reach of 1,240,000 and an average of 567,000. The episode consisted of Trainee Kayla learning to feed an unpredictable python named Rachel, ad over at Dubbo Zoo the vet team carefully sedated a cheetah for a dental check.
Over on Seven, The Chase was the most popular entertainment program surpassing a reach of one million and a reach of 500,000.
