Married At First Sight (MAFS) claimed the most-watched crown for a second night running, as each couple got the cringeworthy opportunity to watch their partners audition tapes. It revealed some dark secrets.
Brook got a rude shock when her husband Chris was revealed as unapologetically fat shammer and misogynist. His reply was pretty clear when asked about his turn offs: “Fat people. Fake tan hands, needy and fat people”. He said that ‘fake tan hands’ highlighted woman’s insecurities.
Brook could only react with, “I’m fucking appalled”.
MAFS’ producers honed in on another TV love story trainwreck—Gia and Scott.
Gia was gifted an iPad by producers to watch her new hubby’s audition tape. All seemed to be going well until produced asked if he wanted children, to which he replied: “Yes and no … I’ve got no stress, I’ve got freedom, I got all the money in the world and I can do whatever I want”.
“If there’s a kid and they’re old enough to look after themselves and I don’t have to pay any more school fees, I’d consider it,” he added, when asked his thoughts about matching with a woman who has a child.
Gia’s reaction was a mix of rage, disbelief and a lot of expletives.
MAFS reached 3.08 million and a healthy average audience of 1.73 million.
The Winter Olympics Games, on Nine. was not far behind, reaching 2.61 million people and posting an average audience of 1.11 million.
Australia still sits on no medals for the Winter Olympics, however, the nation has hope in the form of moguls skier, Jakara Anthony, who delivered a near flawless run to receive the highest score of the day in qualifying.
