Triple M’s Tom & Olly Extend Show To Brisbane & Adelaide For 2018

Radio duo Tom Bainbridge and Olly Morris are set to return to the Triple M network in 2018 with their nightly show extending into two new markets.

From Monday 15 January, Tom & Olly Have Questions will be heard at night across Adelaide and Brisbane, as well as Sydney and Melbourne where they’ve been broadcasting throughout 2017.

The show is a unique take on talkback radio with Bainbridge and Morris – two innocent, wide-eyed boys from the ‘burbs asking the big questions about life, the universe and everything.

After being told their show would be returning to Triple M in 2018, Bainbridge said: “Let’s be honest, we’re actually a terrible show. The only reason we’re still on air is because I’m gay and it fills a diversity quota.”

Morris added: “I’m also really lucky Tom is gay. He gives me such great advice about girls. They’re so complicated! But truly, we love this station, this time slot and our listeners, so we are psyched to be back bigger in 2018.”

The pair met at school, where Morris convinced the former Big Brother intruder and professional reality tv auditioner Bainbridge that they should be on radio together.

After several fill-in shows on SYN FM Melbourne, they were swept up in showbiz and the bright lights of Albury were calling.

Following two years of breakfast on Star 104.9, the boys were ‘let go’ after a serious of dubious on-air stunts that included stripping at the premiere of Magic Mike XXL and interviewing Albury Mayor Henk van de Venk.

Hired at Triple M Sydney and Melbourne as panel operators, the boys soon began opening the mics and asking questions between songs, a move that will see them broadcast across the network in 2018 between 7pm and 10pm on weeknights in Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane.

In the lead-up to Christmas, all four markets will get a taste of what Bainbridge and Morris have in store for 2018, with the duo joining Lawrence “The Moonman” Mooney for the summer breakfast slot from Monday 11 December to Friday 22 December.

Mooney is all set to co-host Triple M’s Big Breakfast in Brisbane from 2018.
