92.9 Triple M Perth announced on Friday that Lachy Reid and Andrew Embley would host its new show, Triple M’s Rush Hour with Lachy and Embers.

The show will launch on February 22 and, in a first for Perth radio, will be available as a podcast before its 6-7pm on-air radio slot.

Lachy Reid (pictured left) is known for his Channel 10 sports presenting, particularly coverage of the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics. He also a popular member of the Triple M Call Team.

Andrew Embley (pictured right) is a former West Coast Eagles premiership player and 2006 Norm Smith medalist. Since his 2013 retirement from the AFL, he has also been part of the Triple M Call Team.

“I’m so excited to be on air,” Embley said.

“I feel the people of Perth have forgotten who I am. Lachy Reid owes me! If it wasn’t for our football club creating headlines through the mid-2000s, he would be unemployed!”

Reid added, “in 2006, Andrew Embley was hard to control in the Grand Final, and I dare say nothing will change.”

Tim Arnold, Triple M Perth’s Content Director said, “Lachy and Embers have a unique friendship.

They’re just as comfortable regaling each other with their knowledge of AFL and their off-field stories, as they are giving each other a fair amount of schtick…particularly around Lachy’s shiny head.”
