Affirming their position as Australia’s leading Transit media specialists, TorchMedia has expanded their existing offering with Canberra Metro, by offering clients the opportunity to wrap the iconic Canberra Light Rail from May 2021.

This highly anticipated move comes in response to growing demands from advertisers, following on from the successful sales of station stop panels and internal formats.

Since its launch in 2019, the Canberra Light Rail has exceeded all patronage goals and played a crucial role in enticing Canberrans to try out public transport for the first time, with 70 per cent saying they were more likely to use public transport now that light rail is in operation, according to a recent survey conducted by CMET.

Kirsty Dollisson, Managing Director, TorchMedia said, “We are thrilled to be able to offer clients the high impact transit solutions in Canberra which they’ve been asking for with this roll out of external formats on the Canberra Light Rail. These new assets will enable clients to connect with Canberran audiences in an impactful way, with their campaigns guaranteed to be seen throughout the capital.”

Dollisson concluded, “We are excited to be able to offer new opportunities for advertisers in the growing Canberra market. The Canberra Light Rail continues to be one of our most sought-after assets and we are proud to extend our portfolio to include these high impact formats in a market-first.”

The first external campaigns will launch at the start of May, this will include the promotion of the ACT Government’s ‘Check in CBR’ app followed by campaigns for ActewAGL and AC
