TikTok and Amplify have joined forces to announce The Next Episode, a new content initiative designed to help brands move beyond traditional short-form content and invest in creator-led series.

As demand for longer-form, episodic entertainment continues to grow, the new initiative connects brands with Amplify’s creator network to develop and produce original, social-first series, with eligible brands able to access production support through TikTok alongside their media investment.

Micro-dramas, interviews, game shows, docuseries and reality shows transform the way brands show up on TikTok, giving them a recurring presence and ability to build deeper relationships with audiences over time.

The Next Episode represents a new way for brands to shift from appearing in content, to working with creators to shape ongoing moments and conversations that connect with audiences and drive long-term engagement.

Brands can invest in a Creator Content Series that integrates them into the world of a TikTok creator’s episodic content, or they can take centre stage in their own creator-led Brand Content Series.

“TikTok has always been a place where new formats of storytelling emerge and audiences discover what they want to watch next. We’re now seeing that evolve into short-form, episodic storytelling, where creators can build worlds, characters and narratives that audiences want to come back to again and again,” said Amy Bradshaw, GM for global business solutions, TikTok Australia and New Zealand.

“The Next Episode gives brands a way to be part of that shift, moving beyond one-off moments into creator-led series that can build sustained engagement over time. By bringing together creator credibility, premium storytelling and TikTok’s discovery engine, we’re giving brands a new way to turn entertainment and attention into meaningful business impact.”

As creators increasingly evolve beyond short-form social content into original entertainment and longer-form storytelling, this initiative fosters new career pathways and monetisation opportunities for creators and the production industry.

“Creators understand their audience better than anyone, and The Next Episode gives them the opportunity to take that expertise into bigger, more ambitious storytelling,” said Tom Maynard, Amplify co-founder.

“It gives creators the opportunity to build distinctive, recurring worlds and formats, while opening up new ways to collaborate with brands, grow their audiences and create scalable opportunities from their ideas.”

Prior to The Next Episode, TikTok and Amplify have collaborated on a number of branded content series, including The TikTok Road Trip (presented by Kia), Gatorade Games (Gatorade) and Love Songs (Tinder).
