TripAdvisor-owned TheFork Australia has appointed independent brand communications agency, Magnum & Co to take charge of its communications, following a competitive pitch.

Magnum & Co will now lead all earned media and social content for the restaurant finder and booking app. This is a big deal, given much of Australia is exiting various lockdowns and more keen than ever to wine and dine.

“The hospitality industry has had it tough for the past couple of years, so we’re extremely proud to support TheFork, helping the industry get back on its feet and thriving again,” said Magnum & Co managing partner, Carl Moggridge.

“Supporting local restaurants and reconnecting with great friends over great food is something we’ve all missed.”

TheFork’s head of marketing, James Walmsley, was also super stoked about the appointment, saying his company wanted to celebrate unique dining experiences and encourages Aussies to get their restaurant game on once again.

“As we get ready to launch our brand proposition and creative territory in 2022, Magnum & Co will play an instrumental role in driving mass awareness of TheFork to the Australian market and bringing a refreshed approach to our communications,” he added.

For those not in-the-know, Magnum & Co is a brand communications agency that delivers ideas and develops strategies to influence culture and change behaviour.

The agency provides services across advertising, PR, social media, digital, experiential, influencer marketing and production, and also boasts a client portfolio which includes Converse, Goodman Fielder, RSPCA NSW, GoDaddy, Noom, Peters Ice Cream, Pizza Hut and L’Oreal.
