In the high fashion news, we didn’t know we needed! The Queen. aka queen Elizabeth is gracing British Vogue’s April issue.
The issue pays tribute to the Queen being the first British monarch in history to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee with a special edition cover.
The cover is a black and white photo of Miss Elizabeth herself in 1957 photographed by Antony Armstrong Jones.

The April issue explores Vogue’s unique relationship with the royal and features rare images from the archive at Vogue House, and it will be on sale on March 29th.
Interesting, The Queen didn’t even get Vogue all to herself; there’s an alternative cover with actress Anya Taylor on it, and she’s also wearing a crown assumedly in tribute.

While, the cover is absolutely gorgeous and striking, it does seem like a massive shame that the cover doesn’t feature the Queen in her matching bright ensembles she’s become so famous for. Where’s the lime green or the neon yellow? I’d even settle for a giant but magnificent hat.

Of course, a vintage photo of the Queen is stunning, but I was ready for the Queen as she is now in all her glory! Now that would have been a bright and fabulous tribute.
