It’s been a big news week for Wiggles fans (40 and 4-year-olds alike) with the announcement that the four originals will be reuniting for a reunion tour.
That’s right: Greg Page (Yellow), Murray Cook (Red), Jeff Fatt (Purple) and Anthony Field (Blue, fan favourite of mums worldwide) have lined up seven adults-only shows next year.
It is unclear what, exactly, an ‘adults only’ Wiggles concert involves, but one can only assume something involving the Captain’s eponymous Feathersword.
The tour will also see popular Australian bands DZ Deathrays and Polish Clubs in support.
To celebrate, the OG Wiggles are hosting the ABC’s music video channel, rage, on Saturday October 23rd.
According to the ABC, the line-up will include songs like ‘Rock Lobster’ by The B52’s, ‘Like People’ by DZ Deathrays, ‘Alien Invasion’ by Archie Roach, ‘Enter Sandman’ by Metallica and ‘Barbie Girl’ by Aqua.
In short, there’s something for everyone to get wiggly too.
