The Media Store has retained RMIT University’s media account following a competitive, closed pitch, securing the independent agency another term with the education giant.
RMIT took the account to market earlier this year, putting several agencies through a multi-stage process before ultimately reconfirming The Media Store as its media partner.
The Media Store first won the account in 2021, meaning the retention extends a partnership that has now reached its sixth year.
The agency will continue to handle RMIT’s media strategy, planning and buying across its Australian and international markets, while also supporting the university’s brand, acquisition and partnership activity.
RMIT acting global marketing director Sarah Morley said The Media Store had become a “trusted partner” during the five-year relationship.
“We’re delighted to continue our partnership with The Media Store. Over the past five years, The Media Store team has consistently delivered for our brand, becoming a trusted partner in both the growth and promotion of our operations,” Morley said.
“The Media Store’s performance expertise, collaborative approach, and strategic thinking have been critical in broadening our footprint in both the Australian and international markets and helping us reach the university’s diverse audiences.”
The Media Store chief operating officer Jacquie Alley said the retention demonstrated RMIT’s confidence in the agency following the pitch process.
“Retaining the RMIT University account after nearly half a decade is a significant achievement – it demonstrates the value delivered through our partnership, and the confidence that RMIT University has in our approach and our people,” Alley said.
The agency will now continue working with RMIT on its growth and student acquisition objectives, with Alley adding that the partnership would focus on “innovative, audience-led strategies” as the university pursues its ambition to become a world-leading education brand.
The account is effective immediately.
The Media Store’s other clients include Rugby World Cup Experiences, Commonwealth Superannuation Corporation, Hino and ENGIE.
