The Inspired Unemployed are launching a Spotify Original podcast, giving Australians even more insight into the larrikin’s unexpected fame and adventures.

Commissioned by and only available on Spotify, the first ever podcast from the duo will bring a whole new dimension to the adventures of Matt and Jack, two best mates who still can’t quite believe their luck in becoming internet sensations having come from a simple life – it’s honest, it’s real and it’s always funny, just as you would expect from The Inspired Unemployed!

With a new episode released weekly, the podcast is an extension of who Matt and Jack are and gives fans insight into the challenges of feeling like a fish out of water in the world of media. It will of course still include the content they love and are known for – funny tongue-in-cheek skits, stupid dares and challenges, calls into their best mates, and raves about what’s on their mind this week.

In their first episode they discuss everything from:

  • How they went from the jobsite one day to interviewing celebrities like ‘this Zendaya chick’ who they actually thought was a guy
  • The conversations that are ok on the jobsite – footy, fishing, cars, the pub – vs the pressure to not mention your latest yoga session or order a soy latte
  • Five big words they don’t actually know the definition of but have been faced with – including the time they were on Q&A which was ‘probably the scariest moment of their lives’

The podcast will be dropping weekly via Spotify.
