Australian fashion retailer, The Iconic has announced they have partnered with AirRobe and are now offering their customers a resale option.
The Iconic has become an Australian retailer that is slowly building a reputation for being ahead of the curb. From its same-day delivery options to its push to include more size diversity in the range, they offer, and now the retailer has partnered with AirRobe for an Australian first.
Through its partnership with Australian founded AirRobe, Iconic customers now have the option at checkout, to save the items they buy to their private AirRobe account. This means they can easily resell them later. AirRobe keeps all the information about the item, and also offers pricing assistance.
In the future, if the customer decides they no longer want the item, they can simply log in to their AirRobe account and list the item for sale on its marketplace, with only a few clicks The initiative helps the circular economy along.
The concept aims to introduce customers to the circular economy and show them how easy it is to resell and repurpose clothes.
Airrobe wrote on Instagram, “We’ve partnered with THE ICONIC to enable you to join the circular fashion movement. Now, when you shop with @theiconicau you can extend the life of your purchases by re-selling or renting your pieces back into a circular economy after you’ve worn and loved them.”

Erica Berchtold, chief executive of The Iconic, told The Financial Review, “We have done all the hard work. Customers can feel confident knowing that they have the imagery of the clothing, all of the correct details and a fair pricing structure for their items.
“Right then and there, you get an indicative price of how much you can expect to sell your item for. And the person they are reselling to will feel more comfortable knowing they have the credibility of The Iconic, and knowing that it is from The Iconic in the first place.
“It takes the guesswork out of resale and we believe that will lead to greater uptake of the circular economy.”
