The Gerety Awards are now open for 2023 entries and will be accepting submissions for two new categories: strategy and emerging commerce.
The Gerety Awards brings together a jury to select the best in advertising that resonates most with a female audience. It was named after Frances Gerety, the copywriter who in 1948 coined the slogan “A diamond is forever”.
The locations for the fifth season of the Gerety awards are London, Chicago, Dubai, Mumbai, Berlin, Bucharest, AUNZ, Madrid, Bogota, and Stockholm. As well as defining the shortlist the executive jury sessions each select the agency and production company of the year from their country. This is chosen from the entrants of the Portfolio Cut.
AUNZ will be represented in a joint executive jury session with Kim Pick, Executive Creative Director, VMLY&R, New Zealand as the Ambassador and jury president.
New for 2023: entrants will be able to submit entries for Strategy as well as Emerging Commerce into any of the Gerety cuts for Communication, Media, Innovation, B2B, Health, Pharma, Works for Good, Entertainment, Experience, and Humour.
Entries celebrating strategy will show creative examples of the customer journey and strategic planning that redefined a brand or product.
Emerging commerce will show new channels that organically use the Metaverse, NFTs, Blockchain, AI, AR and other advanced technologies and tools to seamlessly support the development of a brand, product or service.
AUNZ Ambassador, Kim Pick said, “It’s an honour to be selected as the AUNZ regional ambassador for the Gerety Awards this year. In its fifth year now, and continuing to grow in scale and scope, it has a unique perspective: a jury that selects the best in global advertising that resonates with a female audience. I look forward to joining with the jury from across Australia and New Zealand to deliberate, curate and celebrate the outstanding work that’s happening in this market.”
