Teen Skincare Brand Indu Lands Down Under With Sephora

UK teen skincare brand Indu is landing down under. Available only at Sephora, the brand is launching in 38 stores across Australia & NZ.

With social media posts of teens using ten-plus products, destroying their skin barrier with unsuitable ingredients and multitudinous skin trends, Indu offers a “less is more” approach.

From light moisturisers to ‘Spot On Paste,’ every microbiome-friendly product is marked as safe and suitable for all skin types.

Whether it be stress from exams, hormonal changes, diet or environmental factors, there are aggressors that kick teens skin out of balance. Indu is positioned as providing teens with their own products suited to their ever-changing skin, lifestyle and habits.

The skincare brand was created and co-founded by Australian Aaron Chatterley, co-founder of UK beauty retailer Feelunique, (which sold to Sephora in 2021), together with Richard Schiessl and Reena Hammer.

“As an Australian living in the UK, I’m absolutely thrilled that Australia is Indu’s first international market. It’s the dream launch for us, as it signifies the first step in our global expansion with Sephora and continuing our mission to be the authority on teen skin – watch this space. Finally being able to take my mum to see the products in store is also a major plus,” Chatterley said.

The brand is shaped by a community of teenagers, including athletes on the Indu Teen Athlete Sponsorship Programme, content creators and students at The BRIT School of Performing Arts. An in-house committee of more than 250 global teenage beauty enthusiasts, aged 14-19, helped shape the brand from the beginning.

This has expanded to a wider community of more than 500 teens on TYB, who influence and inform decisions across the business, from brand identity and marketing campaigns to new product development and content creation.

“Indu delivers smart, gentle and balanced skincare that adapts to youth-specific skincare needs. With non-comedogenic formulas focused on keeping skin healthy and calm, Indu is a great addition to our skincare brand assortment and we’re proud to say that it’s available Only at Sephora in Australia and New Zealand,” Elysha Sullivan,
Sephora ANZ’s director of merchandising said.
