Commercial talk-radio network Tapt Media has promoted sales director Kristy Mansfield to the new role of general manager 6PR Perth in a move to boost growth in the region.
In her new role, Mansfield retains her revenue responsibilities while also taking on accountability across audience strategy and growth, and community engagement. All Perth-based staff now report directly into the general manager role, centralising operational accountability and sharpening market responsiveness.
“I’m thrilled to have Kristy elevate to the general manager role in Perth and join the Tapt Media ELT,” said Tom Malone, Tapt Media CEO.
“Strengthening our commercial integration in this way is core to how we’re building Tapt Media – backing our strong local leaders to drive growth in their markets, across audience, revenue, and partnerships. Kristy has a formidable reputation in Perth, and this appointment gives her the platform to represent 6PR and Tapt Media even more strongly across the market.”
On her new role Mansfield said: “I look forward to leading our team in Perth as we build out the next phase of growth for 6PR.”
She described Perth as a “highly distinct, fast-moving market that responds to dedicated local presence”.
“Unifying our operational, content, and revenue leadership under a single local structure gives us the agility to move quickly, serve our audience with intent, and deliver greater value for our commercial partners.”
Mansfield brings more than two decades of media experience to the position, including 15 years at Southern Cross Austereo. Here she served in key commercial roles across Agency and Direct portfolios, driving multi-platform revenue across metro and regional radio, regional television, and digital audio.
Mansfield’s background also includes leadership roles at UnLtd Perth, Nova Entertainment Perth and Jetstream Media.
