Nine’s The Block saw off all comers last night, pulling an impressive 1.234 million last night which made it the number one show of Sunday night.
The TV gods were certainly smiling on Nine last night after its 6pm news bulletin (1.067 million) had a rare win over Seven’s outing (941,000).
Nine’s 60 Minutes (783,000) also ran hot, trouncing Seven’s Sunday Night (539,000).
Unsurprisingly, Nine convincingly won Sunday with a thumping 36.6 per cent audience share. Seven took 28.6 per cent.
Ten’s Sunday night woes continue, it could only muster a paltry 12.4 per cent and was pushed into fourth spot by the ABC (15 per cent). SBS took home 7.4 per cent.
Over at Seven, Little Big Shots was the best of its entertainment shows posting 719,000; however, that was its worst numbers since the show launched last year. Crime Investigation Australia (259,000) its only other show of note.
For Ten, Russell Coight’s All Aussie Adventures was its stand-out, enjoying 546,000. The Sunday Project had a disappointing 307,000 and a repeat of the 2008 movie Get Smart pulled in 307,000.
The ABC’s night ran thus: 7pm news (661,000), Rake (522,000) and Joanna Lumleys’ India (410,000).
On SBS it was Andre the Giant (263,000), Treasures Decoded (193,000) and SBS World News (127,00).
