Sunday TV Wrap: The Block Soars To A Season High; Australia’s Got Talent Finale Not Quite On Song

Pole dancing mum, Kristy Sellars, won last night’s finale of Australia’s Got Talent with a so-so 747,000 tuning-in for the episode proper, with the numbers rising to 752,000 for the winner announcement.

Not that it bothered The Block, which was the most watched show of Sunday with an impressive 1.155 million according to OzTAM metro numbers and was its most watched episode this season.

Nine won Sunday with 34 per cent share of the audience (all channels) Seven had 30.7 per cent, the ABC was third with 13.5 per cent, 10 did 12.9 per cent and SBS did 8.9 per cent.

In the battle of the 6pm news bulletins, Seven did 968,000 to Nine’s 872,000.

60 Minutes had 622,000 to Sunday Night’s 448,000.

Over at 10, its night ran thus: The Sunday Project (333,000), Ambulance Australia: Ultimate Emergencies (269,000) and 10 News First (259,000).

The ABC’s night went this way: 7pm news (649,000), The Pool (411,000) and Les Norton (307,000).

Best for SBS was a repeat of Pompeii: Life Before Death that posted 213,000.
