The KFC Big Bash League (BBL|15) season was the most watched BBL season of all-time on Kayo SPORTS, and across all Foxtel Group platforms, continuing a record-breaking ‘Summer of Cricket’

Growth was driven by record streaming audiences, with 1.1 billion minutes of action streamed throughout the season, up 9 per cent year-on-year. The season also achieved the highest average audience ever of any BBL season broadcast on Kayo SPORTS and across Foxtel Group platforms.

The BBL|15 Finals series was the most watched Finals series ever, achieving the #1 Qualifier, Challenger and Knockout Final of all-time.

FOX SPORTS managing director Steve Crawley said “It has been a privilege bringing every ball of this exhilarating BBL season to our customers. Each year we continue to innovate our coverage, anchored by our world class commentary team of Adam Gilchrist, Mark Waugh, Mark Howard, Isa Guha, Michael Vaughan, Kath Loughnan, Megan Barnard, Eloise Sohier and ‘Mr Cricket’ Mike Hussey. Our production this season clearly resonated with audiences, driving the most watched Big Bash League season to date and building on the successes of our massive ‘Summer of Cricket’.”

Additional highlights from BBL|15 include:

The Brisbane Heat, Perth Scorchers and Sydney Sixers were the most watched BBL teams in the regular season.

Brisbane Heat’s clash with the Perth Scorchers, which saw the Heat conquer a record-breaking run-chase, was the most-streamed regular season BBL game of all-time.

The season was the biggest BBL season ever across Kayo SPORTS social media with 128 million impressions, 106 million video views, and 5.2 million engagements.

Alistair Dobson Cricket Australia’s executive general manager Big Bash Leagues said “BBL|15 has been a record-breaking season capped off by another incredible performance by the Perth Scorchers as they claimed a record sixth Big Bash League title.

“The broadcast and attendance numbers from The Finals series and season at large confirm the BBL as one of the biggest and most popular T20 Leagues in world cricket.

“The success of the competition is not possible without the outstanding support of our broadcast partners, and we thank FOX SPORTS for their ongoing support of the BBL.”

BBL|15’s record breaking season follows a sustained run of audience highs on Kayo SPORTS, with the 2025/26 Ashes series also setting new records as the most streamed Test series of all time, and the 2025 Supercars Championship achieving the most streamed season of all time.

The ‘Summer of Cricket’ continues with every match of the Australia v India Women’s series LIVE, in HD and ad-break free during play on Kayo SPORTS and FOXTEL from 15 February.
