Australian owned and operated cryptocurrency exchange, Swyftx has inked a three-year partnership with NRL club South Sydney to be their inaugural crypto partner.

The Rabbitohs announcement comes just one month after Swyftx’s historic unveiling as the NRL’s exclusive crypto partner.

Swyftx has committed to sponsoring the “pride of the league” Rabbitohs for a three-year period which will see the brand leverage a combination of on-field signage, digital advertising, and on-field activations to engage Rabbitohs fans and the wider NRL fanbase.

South Sydney have one of the NRL’s largest supporter bases, with more than 30,000 committed members.

Swyftx CEO Ryan Parsons said the partnership provides Swyftx with a significant opportunity to better engage NRL fans and is proud to have aligned themselves with a team that has a storied 114-year history.

“When selecting a football club, we quickly identified South Sydney with such a rich history as an NRL club and community organisation as our pick of the bunch,” said Parsons.

“From iconic players such as Clive Churchill and John Sattler to now Cody Walker and Cameron Murray, few Australian sporting clubs are as recognisable as the cardinal and myrtle of South Sydney.

“The Rabbitohs have always appealed to a diverse range of demographics embodying a true cross-section of the Australian identity, and that inclusive nature aligns so closely with what we’re about at Swyftx.

“We’re really looking forward to the partnership and introducing Rabbitohs fans to both Swyftx and crypto, a truly transformational technology.”

Rabbitohs CEO Blake Solly said the Swyftx partnership was a unique opportunity for the club.

“We pride ourselves on being a club that looks outside the square, a club that is willing to try new things and adopt new approaches to business,” he added.

“Owning and trading cryptocurrency is certainly a big part of the new digital economy, and we are excited to partner with Swyftx for the next three seasons.

“Swyftx have quickly established themselves as a leader in the cryptocurrency exchange field here in Australia and they have shown an appetite for getting behind sporting clubs and organisations.

“We’re all excited about this partnership and we look forward to working with Ryan and his team over at least the next three years.”

As with the NRL, the Rabbitohs have brought on Swyftx as their inaugural and exclusive crypto partner.
