Mature-age content platform Starts at 60 has announced the appointment of Shaun Alexander as its chief revenue officer.
Alexander joins Starts at 60 from SoundCloud, where he was the county manager and commercial director for Australia and New Zealand. Prior to his role at SoundCloud, Alexander was the head of brand partnerships at Pandora.
A statement by Starts at 60 said Alexander’s appointment will see the platform grow its national commercial team with offices in Sydney and Brisbane over coming months to meet demand.
“Shaun has an extraordinary background in both digital media, and as a country and partnerships leader for challenger brands here, so he adds a lot to our growing team,” the statement said.
“He also understands the disruption opportunity of doing something different to traditional brands that consumers love.”
Commenting on his appointment, Alexander said: “I am incredibly excited to join the Starts at 60 team. The Baby Boomer is the fastest-growing segment in Australia, with the time and means to enjoy life like no other generation can.
“Starts at 60 has built a highly-engaged community who are looking to brands to help them decide how to make the most out of the best years of their life.”
