Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) radio station 2DayFM has dumped advertising during its daytime broadcast to try and keep listeners from switching off.
The Sydney station announced on-air yesterday morning that it would be going ad-free between 9am to 3pm, and has also been promoting it on social media.

Commenting on the move, an SCA spokesperson said: “We are providing listeners with more music by playing commercial-free music breaks at times throughout the day.”
SCA has been placing a heavy focus on 2DayFM of late with the new-look brekkie line-up of Em Rusciano, Grant Denyer and Ed Kavalee (pictured above), along with a broadened music format.
