Ross Greenwood To Present Budget Night For Macquarie Radio Network

Respected business journalist and financial commentator Ross Greenwood will present the 2015 Budget Night for Macquarie Radio Network’s (MRN) News Talk stations.

Greenwood will broadcast live from Canberra for the Budget announcement on May 12th.

Greenwood will present the Budget Night special nationally on Sydney’s 2GB, Melbourne’s 3AW, Brisbane’s 4BC, Perth’s 6PR and MRN’s affiliate station FIVEaa in Adelaide. The on-air broadcast will be accompanied by podcasts on the stations’ websites and streaming on the stations’ apps.

Greenwood’s journalism career spans radio, television, newspapers and magazines. He presents the ‘Money News’ weeknight program on 2GB and 4BC and is also the Nine Network’s business and finance editor.

“This is an exciting new chapter for Macquarie Radio Network as we bring our listeners the best Budget coverage and analysis in a unique first for our News Talk network. MRN has brought together the best radio talent in the country and this will be one of many firsts,” said MRN chief operating officer Adam Lang.

“Ross brings 30 years experience as a trusted financial commentator. His ability to simply explain financially complex matters will arm our listeners with the essential Budget insights, facts and the most relevant factors for them.”

Greenwood said: “With rising debt, falling revenues and interest rate levels at record lows, this will be one of the most important budgets to be handed down in recent times. We’ll have full comprehensive analysis, including Joe Hockey’s Budget speech.”
