Richmond Football Club and ME Bank To Part Ways

Richmond Football Club has acknowledged the support of its sponsor, ME Bank and announced that its partnership with the Club will come to an end at the completion of the 2015 season.

A partner with Richmond since 2011, ME Bank was most notably the inaugural naming rights sponsor for the new $20 million redevelopment at the iconic Punt Road Oval facility.

The multi-faceted partnership has evolved over time, and extends to supporting ME Bank’s partnership with the Mothers’ Day Classic, and raising awareness and funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation through a dedicated match-day sponsorship.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank ME Bank for its valued support.  Our partnership has been one built on similar foundations, values and a desire to support our communities through the power of AFL football,” said Richmond CEO Brendon Gale.

“We are extremely proud of our association, the relationships we have developed over time, and the outcomes we’ve been able to achieve together.

“Importantly, ME Bank is still with us for the upcoming 2015 season, so we look forward to continuing to work together and celebrate the completion of this five-year partnership as strongly as it began.”

ME Bank CEO Jamie McPhee said: “We’ve enjoyed working closely with the team at Richmond FC to successfully rebuild and consolidate our performances within our respective fields of play.

“Our close association has been important to the growth of ME Bank over the last four years and we look forward to another year working together.”
