Retail media specialists, Retail MediaWorks has signed an exclusive new retail media partnership with JB Hi-Fi. The partnership, in time, will allow brands and agencies to access premium, consumer electronics audiences via targeted omnichannel retail media solutions.
As one of Australia’s largest retailers with 207 stores and a highly visited consumer electronics website, JB Hi-Fi’s entry into retail media represents a significant development for the local market, where consumer electronics retail media opportunities have previously been limited.
“Retail media plays an increasingly important role in how brands engage customers during moments of active consideration. Partnering with Retail MediaWorks, the market leader in delivering retail media at scale, allows us to deliver targeted omnichannel advertising experiences that are relevant for shoppers and valuable for brand partners, supported by proven technology partners,” said Gary Siewert, director of marketing and eCommerce, JB Hi-Fi.
JB Hi-Fi has specified that it has selected Retail MediaWorks based on its unrivalled and extensive retail media expertise in the Australian market. The initial phase will focus on partnering with near-endemic category leaders across JB Hi-Fi’s high-reaching omnichannel touch points. The RMW partnership will simultaneously build out future inventory aligned to both near-endemic and endemic omnichannel opportunities.

For Retail MediaWorks, the partnership represents a strong addition to its growing retail media footprint in Australia, expanding beyond Grocery, Liquor, Hardware and Pharmacy verticals into consumer electronics.
“JB Hi-Fi is one of Australia’s most influential retailers, and this partnership reflects where retail media is heading. We’re focused on building a scalable, data-led omnichannel platform that delivers measurable outcomes for brands and long-term growth for the retailer,” commented John Georgas, CEO, Retail MediaWorks.
Since launching in 2021, Retail MediaWorks has become a trusted partner to many of the region’s leading retailers, generating over $1 billion in retail media revenue for major retailers, including Coles and Bunnings.
