Brent Richardson.

Western Sydney creative and digital agency Q Agency has appointed former Google North America executive and Enrichd Group founder Brent Richardson as its first General Manager, as the agency looks to accelerate growth and expand its AI offering.

Richardson joins the agency in the newly created role with a remit spanning revenue growth, client development and the rollout of Q Agency’s new AI products and services, which are expected to launch in the coming months.

His appointment follows a period of growth for the agency, which recently secured new contracts including Local Agent Finder.

Richardson brings experience across technology, marketing and digital transformation, having previously worked at Google North America, where he was the youngest-ever account executive at the company, according to Q Agency.

He later founded Sydney-based specialist marketing agency Enrichd Group, working with purpose-driven brands and not-for-profit organisations across technology, AI, sport, education and community sectors.

Q Agency co-founder and managing director Michael Noone said Richardson’s experience across AI, big tech and purpose-driven marketing would be important to the agency’s next phase.

“Brent has worked at the cutting edge of AI across his career, assisting companies and agencies to build partnerships and platforms that deliver measurable outcomes,” Noone said.

“His AI-led approach, big tech experience, and purpose-driven leadership, which directly aligns with our company values, will be critical as we focus on Q Agency’s future.”

AI is set to be a particular focus for Richardson, with Q Agency technology director Josh Richardson saying the agency is looking to expand how it uses the technology both internally and across client work.

“Maximising AI within our business, and within our client work, is a priority for Q Agency in the coming months,” Josh Richardson said.

“Brent will be a key player in our AI transformation – his understanding of how technology and AI can enhance services, operations and customer experience will be invaluable as we look to turn AI into meaningful business outcomes.”

Brent Richardson said he was looking for an organisation where he could apply his experience across technology, AI and partnerships to deliver “better outcomes at scale”.

“After meeting with Josh and Michael, I could immediately tell there was synergy between their plans and my experience,” he said.

“I’ve always worked on a ‘purpose as a product’ philosophy, believing meaningful impact can be combined with marketing smarts to deliver results that truly matter.”

Founded in 2021, Q Agency describes itself as a full-service agency spanning strategy, design, technology, performance marketing and AI.

The agency has worked with more than 300 businesses since launch, including Mountain Culture Beer, Everlab, Cookie Man, Penrith Panthers, Western Sydney Lakes, Dymocks and Penrith City Council.

It was also recently named a finalist in the Australian Web Awards.

Richardson’s appointment is effective immediately.
