Pinterest has appointed Damian Kim, VP APAC Enterprise Sales, who was most recently managing director, head of product APAC at Meta. Kim will join Pinterest at the end of February 2026 reporting to Cecile van Steenberge, VP, International Enterprise Sales.

Damian most recently led, built and scaled products tailored to APAC’s diverse markets at Meta. During his tenure, he took on senior leadership roles including MD for Singapore and head of gaming for the Greater China region.

He also served as an executive sponsor for Pride@APAC, championing inclusion and allyship across the region. Damian spent a decade at Microsoft across Singapore and the US, where he led strategic partnerships with OEMs and spearheaded the launch of the Surface product line in APAC.

Pinterest continues to invest in international expansion, with growth in both users and revenue (+16 per cent MAU and +66 per cent revenue in “rest of world”). With more than 80 per cent of Pinterest users located outside of North America, APAC represents an opportunity to deepen partnerships with advertisers and commerce leaders, and to help brands connect with people earlier in their decision-making journey.

In his new role, Kim will lead Pinterest’s APAC Enterprise organization. His appointment underscores Pinterest’s focus on strengthening regional leadership, expanding strategic advertiser and partner relationships such as Kao and Panasonic in Japan, and Kia and Flight Centre in Australia, as well as unlocking new opportunities for brands across the region.

“APAC is a critical region for Pinterest’s continued international growth, with diverse user communities and a sophisticated advertiser ecosystem,” Pinterest’s VP, International Enterprise Sales Cecile van Steenberge said.

“Pinterest’s strengths in visual discovery and shopping align closely with how consumers across APAC plan, explore, and buy. Damian brings deep leadership experience and a strong track record of building high-performing teams, and I’m excited to partner with him as we continue expanding our impact for users, businesses, and brands across the region,” Cecile van Steenberge added.

Kim brings two decades of digital, media, and technology sales experience. Most recently, he served as managing director, head of product – APAC at Meta, where he helped build products “in APAC for APAC”. His previous experience includes leadership roles across Meta in Singapore & Southeast Asia and leading the Surface business and key OEM partnerships for Microsoft in Asia Pacific.

Kim has expertise leading cross-functional organizations to introduce new businesses, foster organization-wide collaboration, develop go-to-market strategies, and deliver scaled growth. He is also known for cultivating diverse, positive-sum partnership ecosystems that amplify business outcomes, and for championing APAC as a high-opportunity region for growth and innovation.

“APAC is one of the most exciting and diverse regions in the world—where culture, creativity, and commerce move incredibly fast. I’m thrilled to join Pinterest at a pivotal moment in its international growth journey. Pinterest is building a uniquely positive platform that brings inspiration and action together, and I’m excited to work with teams across APAC to leverage Pinterest to deliver advertising strategies,” Kim said.
