PHD Australia has promoted Kathryn Weatherlake to managing director of its Melbourne office.
Weatherlake steps into the role after more than 14 years with PHD Melbourne. Weatherlake’s appointment follows the departure of Simon Lawson in February. Weatherlake had held the MD role in the interim.
Beginning as one of the office’s first employees, she has been an integral leader in growing the agency to more than 100 people with an impressive list of global and local clients including 7-Eleven, ANZ, Bunnings, HESTA, McCain, Porsche, SodaStream and Spirit of Tasmania.
The appointment follows a strong period of performance for the Melbourne office. Over the past year, Weatherlake played a key role in expanding the Bunnings business and helping the agency earn 7-Eleven’s Innovation Award for its work on the Japanese range launch and Roblox x Kayo collaboration.
