oOh!media Launches Wollongong’s First-Ever Large-Format Digital Billboard

oOh!media has unveiled Wollongong’s first large-format digital out of home billboard, marking a major milestone for advertisers wanting to connect with one of New South Wales’ fastest-growing regional audiences.

Located on Crown Street, a key inbound arterial into the CBD, the new digital site sits at the gateway to Wollongong’s bustling retail and entertainment precinct, leading directly into the pedestrian mall and offering unmatched visibility to high volumes of inbound traffic.

As the second most populated city in regional NSW, just 90 minutes south of Sydney, and the fifth largest regional city in Australia, Wollongong is home to more than 315,000 residents. Thirty percent of workers in the Wollongong LGA work in its CBD, and with strong commuter links to Sydney, the region represents a high-value and rapidly growing market for brands. With this strong audience base, oOh!’s combined classic and digital billboard network in the Wollongong region delivers 72 per cent reach of the local population, giving advertisers immediate prominence across this expanding market.

The new digital billboard further strengthens oOh!’s presence across the Wollongong LGA, complementing the company’s existing portfolio of Retail and Study to deliver broader, multi-format opportunities for advertisers.

Mark Fairhurst, chief revenue officer at oOh!media, said: “Wollongong’s first large-format digital billboard gives brands an unmissable new way to connect with one of NSW’s largest audiences outside Sydney and Newcastle. With strong growth and high daily movement, our new premium location puts brands right at the centre of that audience.

“oOh! has coverage in every one of Australia’s top 15 regional cities, and our classic and digital billboard network reaches 80 per cent of Australians living outside metro areas. This new billboard strengthens the scale and consistency of our regional network and with MOVE measurement across our entire portfolio, we can clearly demonstrate the audience impact our assets deliver, giving agencies and brands the confidence they need to plan and buy Out of Home.”
