JOLT, Australia’s third party verified sustainable digital-out-of-home and electric vehicle charging network, today announced the appointment of Stuart Moffatt (lead image) as its new general manager – commercial, as the company continues to grow its Australian operations.
In this newly created role, Moffatt will be responsible for managing JOLT’s Australian commercial offering including government, council and private landowner tenders, originating sites and contract acquisitions. He will report to JOLT CEO, Doug McNamee.
Moffatt is a highly experienced out-of-home executive, and was most recently commercial director for JCDecaux’s Victorian, South Australian and West Australian operations. He has also held development Director roles at APN Outdoor and Adshel.
His 25-plus years of experience have seen Moffatt gain extensive skills in tendering, contract negotiation, contract management, operations management, stakeholder engagement, and executive leadership. He also holds a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) majoring in Logistics and Supply Chain Management from the Australian Institute of Business.
JOLT CEO, Doug McNamee, said Moffatt’s expertise, strategic commercial eye and highly developed understanding of the industry was a major win for JOLT’s expansion plans and growth.
“We are absolutely thrilled to have someone with Stuart’s calibre joining JOLT,” he said.
“Stuart comes to JOLT with a well-established reputation for successfully identifying and delivering new commercial opportunities, along with an intimate knowledge of the Australian out-of-home sector. He brings more than two decades of high-level commercial experience and a strong track record – we couldn’t be more excited to have him as part of our team, particularly as we continue to expand our operations both nationally and internationally. We look forward to adding Stuart’s leadership, commercial and stakeholder expertise to our executive team.”
Commenting on his appointment, Moffatt said: “I am thrilled to be joining JOLT at such a crucial moment in the rollout of e-mobility charging solutions. As we work towards a zero-emissions future, it’s inspiring to see how these solutions can drive generational change. The advertising- funded model that offers free, fast, and clean charging is a game-changer for future-focused cities and landowners. I look forward to being part of this exciting journey.”
Moffatt’s appointment follows significant growth for JOLT this year as it expands its Australian footprint in partnerships with Endeavour Energy, among others. JOLT also announced a major deal with TELUS for 5,000 EV chargers to be rolled out across Canada with further international expansion to come.
Moffatt’s appointment follows a hiring spree at JOLT, as it continues to secure high level industry expertise to its team, recently adding Sam Hannaford in the newly created Programmatic Director role and NSW Sales Director, Hannah Pritchard.
Moffatt’s appointment is effective from today, October 25.
