Once Again, Hamish And Andy Top Triton’s Podcast Ranker

LiSTNR’s Hamish and Andy podcast has claimed the top spot on Triton’s podcast ranker for September with 883, 609 monthly listeners and 1,934,412 monthly downloads.

SCA’s  chief content officer Dave Cameron said of Hamish and Andy’s win: “as Australia’s biggest creator and publisher of audio content, we are thrilled to see Hamish & Andy retain their No. 1 podcast in Australia.”

“As well as having the most podcasts in the top 20 Australian podcasts, all of those podcasts have improved their ranking, demonstrating that our breadth of content is resonating with listeners with a great mix between original podcasts and our radio and sport podcasts.”

In fact, all of the top three remained consistent from August’s rankings, with Audioboom’s Casefile True Crime – part of the iHeartPodcast network – coming in second with 850, 629 monthly listeners and 2,130,274 monthly downloads.

In third was ARN/iHeartMedia’s Life Uncut WIth Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne. It had 498,615 monthly listeners and 1,405,906 monthly downloads.

ARN/iHeartMedia also snagged number one publisher, with 3,332,945 monthly listeners and monthly downloads, 12,598,423.

ARN’s head of digital Audio, Corey Layton said: “Our commitment to the best audio content is key to achieving the most listeners and downloads in Australia, alongside our ability to deliver quality connections for our audiences and commercial partners across all our platforms.”

LiSTNR was the publisher with the most representation of the list, with six programs, followed by ARN/iHeartRadio with five. Audioboom was next with four – though it should be noted that both ARN/iHeartRadio and Audioboom are represented by the ARN/iHeartPodcast network in Australia.

The biggest jumps in the rankings were LiSTNR’s The Howie Games which moved up seven places, while DM Podcasts (represented by NOVA Entertinment) show Chat 10 Looks 3 was down by nine.
