Perth-based full service agency Marketforce has been split up by Omnicom with Attivo Group’s agency 303 has taking over its creative, digital and production capabilities.
Marketforce’s broader media and technology capabilities will now sit within Omnicom Oceania’s specialist businesses, including OMD and Credera.
However, Marketforce which has been a member of Clemenger BBDO Network since 2014, will continue to provide specialist non-campaign media services to existing clients but will no longer operate as the full-service agency it is today.
The change marks a new chapter for Marketforce, which has been part of the Western Australian business landscape since 1974.
As part of the change, Marketforce CEO Adam Marshall has been appointed Omnicom Oceania’s first WA CEO. In the newly created role, Marshall will lead Omnicom Oceania’s WA wholly owned WA operations and growth, connecting its media, technology, data and consulting capabilities, while working closely with 303 as a creative partner in the market.
Omnicom Oceania CEO Nick Garrett said the transition will keep teams working together “wherever possible”.
“Marketforce has played an important role in the WA business community for more than 50 years and has helped shape generations of talent, client relationships and creative work in the state,” he said.
“This transition builds on that legacy by keeping teams, clients and capability together wherever possible, while creating an even stronger platform for their future through 303.”
“As Omnicom’s creative partner in Western Australia, we have a shared commitment to the WA market. Bringing Marketforce’s creative capabilities into 303 builds on that relationship while bringing together two businesses with deep roles in WA. Our priority is to provide continuity for clients and Marketforce’s talented people,” added CEO of Attivo Group ANZ, Sue Squillace.
In his new role as Omnicom Oceania WA CEO, Adam Marshall said: “Marketforce has been part of the fabric of WA for more than five decades. It has been a privilege to lead the business and work alongside the people who have built that legacy.
“This marks an exciting new chapter for our WA operations, and our focus has been on providing continuity for clients and creating the best possible outcome for our people. Moving our creative capabilities to 303 allows teams and client knowledge to stay together while becoming part of a broader integrated client offering.”
Perth-founded 303 is majority-owned by Attivo Group, having previously traded as 303 MullenLowe under IPG Mediabrands. Following Omnicom’s acquisition of IPG last year, the agency has returned to its original 303 moniker.
The full-service agency has worked with the likes of Binge, Tafe WA and the Fremantle Dockers.
