OMD’s Naomi Michael Joins IPG Mediabrands In Newly-Created Role

IPG Mediabrands has announced the appointment of Naomi Michael (pictured above) as its head of marketing and communications for the Asia-Pacific region.

In this newly-created role, Michael will be based in Singapore and will work closely with IPG’s regional leadership and wider global corporate communications teams.

She will also be responsible for spearheading the development of integrated communication plans to drive connectivity and elevate awareness for the differentiated IPG Mediabrands network offering throughout the APAC region.

Michael joins IPG Mediabrands from OMD Australia, where she was its national marketing and communications director.

Leigh Terry, CEO of IPG Mediabrands’ APAC division, said the creation of Michael’s role is an indication of the strength and footprint that the network has established and continues to develop in the region.

“Our regional leadership team serve an increasingly crucial role in navigating and propagating the vast opportunity in this market,” he said.

Michael said she was excited to be joining a team of such smart, diverse and dynamic talent.

“IPG Mediabrands has been interesting to watch over the last 18 months,” she said.

“They have a unique brand proposition, ‘Dynamic by design’, which has been built into the structure of the organisation, and empowers both their people and their agency brands to remain agile, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial in their approach as the network continues to grow.”
