The Queensland Government has expanded its creative agency suppliers panel by nearly three-times to 40-strong.
High profile agencies that joined Queensland’s Preferred Supplier Panel (PSP) for marketing, advertising, and media services include Ogilvy, Dentsu Creative, Icon, Khemistry, Paper Moose, Enigma Communication and Creative Outpost.
The major casualty from the previously preferred supplier panel is Clemenger BBDO.
Queensland’s panel size is double that of the Federal Government’s 20-strong panel, which is also under review.
B&T understands successful agencies were contacted late last year after a tender process, with the new panel officially kicking off on 1 December 2025.
The new panel of agencies (see below) will operate until the end of 2030 and be subject to “reviews and refreshment throughout the term.
The agencies can offer services including creative strategy, creative direction, account management, creative development and production.
The scope of work does not include media planning, strategy and buying (which is currently handled by EssenceMediacom); strategic communication and engagement; information and communication technology services. It also does not include standalone projects in graphic design; photography and videography; digital marketing; writing and editorial; brand development; and event management.
Of the 40 suppliers, 37 have a presence in Queensland with the majority located in Brisbane. Five suppliers are Queensland Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander businesses; four suppliers are owned or operated by culturally and linguistically diverse individuals; more than half (22) are led by women and 39 are SMEs.
“Aligned with the Queensland Procurement Policy 2026, this initiative is a key step in driving public value, creating local opportunities, and fostering a sustainable and inclusive economy.” a spokesperson for the Department of Housing and Public Works told B&T.
“The new, expanded panel reflects the dynamic nature of the industry and aims to deliver supplier diversity, depth of capability, and enhanced outcomes for Queenslanders and is set to operate until 30 November 2030, with extension options.”
