Nova 100 is continues its long term partnership with the globally respected Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
For the ninth consecutive year Nova 100 will provide listeners and clients with unique experiences and highlights from the 30th Melbourne International Comedy Festival.
Chrissie, Sam & Browny, Nova 100’s breakfast show, will hold their first live outside broadcast from 6am on Wednesday 23 March at the Melbourne Town Hall. Listeners can join the team as they officially celebrate the first day of the festival with some of the best comedians on the circuit including Wil Anderson, Joel Creasey, Nick Cody, Adam Rozenbachs, Nath Valvo, Sammy J & Randy and Bridget Everett. Showcasing over 50 comedians from this year’s comedy festival, Chrissie, Sam & Browny will also chat to at least one comedian daily during the festival.

For the first time Nova 100 will present a night of Champagne Comedy at an invitation only event. Hosted by comedian Nath Valvo, over a dozen comedians will perform for a live audience at the Town Hall on Saturday 9 April. Guests can only win tickets to this special night by heading to novafm.com.au or listening to Nova 100.
Nova 100 will also invite comedians to join the station every Saturday morning during the festival, from 7am to 9am, with the first show kicking off on 26 March.
Throughout the festival, Nova will feature ticket giveaways to the hottest and most exciting shows on the circuit and will cover the festival extensively on-line with reviews, highlights and videos, pop up comedy and interviews. All content will be housed on novafm.com.au.
NOVA Entertainment will also use this partnership to engage with trade with the return of Nova’s Stand Up School – a one of a kind, day long workshop targeting young rising stars in media agencies. Designed to help motivate through learning, development and of course entertainment. Comedy is a natural entry point for Nova to deliver on this objective with Chrissie, Sam & Browny hosting this event, with comedians Kate McLennan and Rachel Berger, who will deliver practical insight in a uniquely designed and executed program.
In its second year, Nova’s Stand Up School is offering graduates the skills required to stand up, stand out and shine in their careers.
Friday Funnies (but not always on a Friday) will also see Nova 100 roll out intimate and exclusive stand up shows for key agencies and clients throughout April, delivering a unique and comedic take on the standard office drinks.
