Nike has unveiled a big-budget spot celebrating the sportswear giant’s two decades sponsorship of F.C. Barcelona, one of the world’s most famous football teams.
What makes the ad all the more different is that it also celebrates the region of Catalan (Barcelona is its capital) that is currently experiencing a divisive separatist movement as it fights for independence from Spain.
The spot features host of the team’s stars including Andrés Iniesta, Philippe Coutinho, Gerard Piqué and female players. It’s the work of Wieden + Kennedy Amsterdam and, understandably, is narrated in Catalan (but fear not, includes subtitles). Check it out below.
