“Nick has an impressive track record of success within the industry, and especially within the Volkswagen Group,” said Paul Sansom, director of Audi Australia and managing director of Volkswagen Group Australia.
“Nick has played a crucial role in the overwhelming success of Volkswagen Commercial vehicles over most of the last decade and I am excited to see him drive continued growth for Audi in the years ahead.”
“I am thrilled to take on this amazing opportunity to shape the future of Audi in Australia, truly one of the most innovative brands in the automotive market,” said Reid.

Reid has led the marketing and product planning functions at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles in various roles since 2013, when he joined from Kia. Previously, Reid held product planning roles at Honda and Peugeot.
During his time with Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Reid’s team delivered multiple award-winning 360-degree marketing campaigns, including ‘Walkinshaw Station’ (2021), ‘Parked’ (2019) and ‘Too Powerful for You’ (2018).
Reid led the partnership with Melbourne-based Walkinshaw Automotive to produce premium, enhanced vehicles for the Australian market, such as the Amarok W-Series high-performance utility. So successful has been the partnership, that since April 2021, over 1000 W-Series vehicles have been delivered to Australian customers.
Reid also shaped the development of the Volkswagen California lifestyle brand, which caters for adventure seekers and lovers of the great outdoors, with a range of versatile and appealing vans.
Reid will transition to Audi in the coming weeks. Paul Sansom has been leading the marketing function since July 2021.
