NIB Retains Ikon & Ends Relationship With Atomic 212° After Media Account Review

Health insurer NIB has chosen to consolidate its media account with Ikon Communications following a review.

NIB kicked of the pitch process last month, putting incumbents Ikon and Atomic 212° on notice.

Rhod McKensey, group executive at NIB, said in a statement to B&T: “Following our recent RFP for our above the line media, digital and social media, and search engine marketing and optimisation, nib has selected Ikon Communications as a preferred partner.

“We look forward to working with the team at Ikon Communications in an expanded capacity as we strive to drive the success and performance of nib across the country.

“The strategic insight Ikon demonstrated through the review process set the benchmark, which was reinforced by a talented and passionate team.

“We wish the team at Atomic 212° all the best into the future. They have been a great partner that has added a tremendous amount of value to our business over the past five years.”

Ikon declined to comment when contacted by B&T, while Atomic 212° is yet to reply.
