From L-R: Dr Caroline West, Kathy Lette and Susan Kurosawa.

The Australian Women’s Weekly has revealed a variety of new voices joining the monthly lifestyle magazine’s editorial team.

Acclaimed author Kathy Lette is joining as a regular columnist, Susan Kurosawa has been appointed as travel editor and GP Dr Caroline West will be fronting the return of Ask the Doctor as a health and wellbeing platform across print, digital and social.

Kurosawa has joined The Weekly and will lead its refreshed Travel vertical, while Dr Caroline West will lead the return of Ask the Doctor, providing readers with practical, accessible and trusted advice on the health issues that matter to Australian women.

The return of Ask the Doctor also marks the relaunch of The Australian Women’s Weekly’s Good Health vertical across its digital, social, print and live event platforms.

Sophie Tedmanson, editor of The Australian Women’s Weekly, said the new appointments reinforced the brand’s commitment to combining trusted advice with voices that inform, entertain and connect with The Weekly’s community.

“The Weekly has always played an important role in helping Australian women navigate their lives, whether through trusted health and financial advice, inspiring food and travel content or contributors who make us stop, think and laugh,” Tedmanson said.

“Kathy Lette is one of Australia’s most entertaining and astute observers of women’s lives, and we are thrilled to welcome her unmistakable voice to The Weekly. We are also excited to expand our Travel vertical with Susan Kurosawa bringing her trusted travel authority, insights and warmth to inspire our audience to experience Australia and the world.

“The return of Ask the Doctor is equally significant. At a time when health misinformation is increasingly difficult to navigate, Dr Caroline West brings deep expertise, empathy and a genuine ability to make complex issues feel clear and relevant.

“Health and wellbeing is a key area of interest for our audience, and one we will continue to grow across print, digital, social and live experiences, including our Health Summit. It also creates meaningful opportunities for brands to support the wellbeing of Australian women through trusted, high-quality content.”

The appointments further strengthen The Australian Women’s Weekly’s growing contributor line-up across community, food, travel, money and health, while adding greater depth and value to its recently launched My Women’s Weekly membership platform.

Regular contributors include Kathy Lette, Chrissie Swan and Edwina Bartholomew across community; Dr Caroline West across health; Effie Zahos across money; Susan Kurosawa across travel; and Maggie Beer, Julie Goodwin, Laura Sharrad, Depinder Chhibber, Karima Hazim and Fran Abdallaoui across food.
