New Director Of Digital Sales For Southern Cross Austereo

Southern Cross Austereo has announced Steve Brown as its director of digital sales and operations, effective from 27th August. Mr Brown will take on the leadership role replacing James Bayes. He’ll focus on growing digital sales, driving programmatic and supporting key partnerships.

With an extensive media career, and over 10 years working across radio both in Australia with the Australian Radio Network and Nova Entertainment, and the United States with Clear Channel, Mr Brown has an all- inclusive understanding and passion for the value of digital in the media landscape. Having worked with some of the best on-air talent Australia has to offer, and leading brands and agencies, his commercial insight has pioneered solution development and cross platform sales over the last decade.

Over the last five years, Mr Brown has focused on working across a number of highly progressive digital organisations where innovation is the corner stone of success and growth. One of Australia’s largest and most dynamic independent e-commerce start-ups, The Catch Group, Mr Brown led product, vendor and commercial innovation, whilst also growing an effective and significant sales team.

Mr Brown recently fronted the digital development with Australia’s largest media company, News Corp, growing traditional business through digital product development, client engagement and delivering commercial audiences by blending multimedia in solutions that deliver genuine ROI.

Southern Cross Austereo, director of digital and innovation, Vijay Solanki, said: “We are really excited to have a strong digital sales leader join our team. Steve will build on the great work achieved and take us to the next level. He will continue our drive in programmatic and drive the sales growth of our digital assets.”
