Rainmaker Group, the publisher of Money magazine have announced a partnership with NOVA Entertainment, for its first podcast series, ‘Friends with Money’.

The weekly podcast will be released every Wednesday afternoon, and will be hosted by Julia Newbould, managing editor of Money magazine and co-author of award-winning finance book ‘The Joy of Money’.

In the half-hour program, Newbould will be chatting with special guests on money issues, ranging from buying your first home, how to start building a passive income and talking to experts on, property, shares, and more.

Newbould said, “We know that our readers want to be on top of their finances but many feel confused by the jargon and overwhelmed by the plethora of information available on the internet,”

“‘Friends with Money’ was born from the idea that it’s far easier to talk about taboo topics, like money, when you’re among friends. That’s why we’re having these casual chats with our Money friends for this podcast series.

“We’re very pleased to launch this podcast at a time when budgets are tight and people want to find ways to save and invest,”

Kane Reiken, digital commercial director at NOVA Entertainment, said: “We are thrilled to be partnering with Money magazine, a brand with such strong heritage and credibility with Australian audiences. Personal finance is one of the fastest-growing categories in podcasting, with listeners increasingly looking at ways to earn, save or make the most of their investments.

“We welcome Money magazine to the NOVA Entertainment Podcast Network as a leading voice in personal finance, to educate and inform Australians to make better financial decisions.”

Money magazine was founded in 1999 as the first-of-its-kind monthly magazine on all things money in Australia. It is now a multimedia platform with a monthly print magazine available for subscription and in newsstands, a twice-weekly newsletter and starting this month, a video and podcast platform.

Michelle Baltazar, editor-in-chief of Money magazine, said: “we couldn’t be more delighted that our podcast partnership is with NOVA Entertainment, a broadcaster with an enviable footprint across Australia.”

Friends with Money is a great way to complement our existing content across our magazines, newsletter, social media and website.”

The launch of the ‘Friends with Money’ podcast coincides with the re-launch of the Money website, which provides readers free access to its how-to guide on superannuation, economics and investments under The Good Guide series.

The ‘Friends with Money’ podcast will be available on the Money website, Apple Podcasts, the Google Play store, Spotify and all major podcast platforms
