Monday TV Wrap: Seven’s New Military Show SAS Australia A Surprise Hit

Seven’s new show SAS has proven a surprise hit amongst Aussie viewers, with 834,000 (according to OzTAM metro numbers) tuning in to watch a group of celebrities undergo grueling military-style physical challenges.

Roxy Jacenko was the first celebrity to voluntarily withdraw from the competition after just six hours, while Schapelle Corby has emerged as a dark-horse and tipped to go the distance.

However, it wasn’t enough for Seven to win the night in primary share, with Nine earning number one spot on 19.5 per cent, and Seven coming second on 19.3 per cent. 10 did 14.0 per cent, ABC did 13.8 per cent and SBS did 3.9 per cent.

Nine’s The Block did the goods with a massive 783,000 metro viewers, while 10’s Have You Been Paying Attention enjoyed 735,000 eyeballs. ABC’s Australian Story mustered a decent 617,000.

Nine

News did 957,000, ACA did 731,000, RBT did 365,000 and Hot Seat did 492,000.

Seven

News did 1.01m, Home and Away did 582,000, and The Chase did 516,000.

The Project did 530,000, while Junior MasterChef did 454,000.

ABC

News did 733,000, 7.30 did 602,000, Four Corners did 478,000 and Media Watch did 491,000.
