Monday TV Wrap: MasterChef Beats Ninja Warrior While HYBPA? Tops Entertainment

10’s MasterChef narrowly beat Nine’s Australian Ninja Warrior – which premiered on Sunday – with 631,000 viewers to 624,000, as per OzTAm’s metro data.

Australian Ninja Warrior dropped 171,000 from its premiere episode.

10 also saw success with Have You Been Paying Attention? which topped the entertainment ratings with 727,000 viewers

The ep featured a panel of Mick Molloy, Kitty Flanagan, Ed Kavalee, Sam Pang and Alex Ward, with Guest Quizmaster Poppy Starr Olson, an Australian professional skateboarder.

Second overall in entertainment was Home and Away with 647,000 viewers, while Big Brother slid into the ratings after MasterChef and Ninja Warrior with 613,000 viewers.

On top overall was Seven News with 1,090,000 viewers, followed by Nine News with 1,025,00 viewers and A Current Affair, which had 763,000.

Also on the lineup was The Chase for Seven with 581,000 viewers and Hot Seat for Nine with 514,000 viewers.

Finally, for 10, The Project had 476,000 viewers while 10 News First had 379,000.

The ABC had Australia Talks with 454,000 and Media Watch with 398,000.

The Nine Network won overall with 28 per cent of the daily share, while the Seven Network came in second with 27 per cent.

Network 10 was next with 21.8 per cent, followed by the ABC TV network with 16.4 per cent and the SBS Network with 6.8 per cent.
