Mo Works Creative Agency Partners With Innovation Hub To Help Refugees Develop Start-ups

Mo Works Creative Agency has announced it will collaborate with Melbourne-based innovation hub Hatch Quarter to deliver a new project that will help new migrants and refugees develop their start-up businesses.

Backed by LaunchVic, the project will include the activation of Hatch Quarter’s Meetup group, International Entrepreneurs in Australia, through a series of interactive events, and the creation of a playbook about Victoria’s start-up ecosystem.

The playbook will be designed as a complete and freely available resource for entrepreneurs from Victorian migrant and refugee communities, and will be released in multiple languages on digital and non-digital formats.

LaunchVic made its official announcement about the recipients of its round three grants at an event held in Melbourne on Monday.

While 71 applications were received, Hatch Quarter is one of only five successful applicants and will share in a total pool of 1.4 million dollars to be distributed discretionally between the winners.

Mo Works and Hatch Quarter have collaborated on numerous projects in the past, and consistently combined their expertise in the fields of business development, marketing and design to deliver impactful solutions to Victorian start-ups and migrants.

Mo Works creative director Moyad Hamdouna said: “It will be great to work with Hatch Quarter on this existing and well-rounded project, as it will allow us to give back to the community and utilise different expertise in research, creative writing, design and development.”

Hatch Quarter director Aiman Hamdouna said: The Mo Works team has done a splendid job as our integrated marketing team. We have worked together on projects of diverse scales and I look forward to collaborating further with them to deliver this project.”
