Content marketing agency Medium Rare has appointed Genevra Leek (left) as Content Director for Qantas & Travel Insider and Lisa Green (right) as editor in chief of Bunnings magazine.
The pair have extensive experience within the Australian publishing industry with Green having spent two decades working on titles including The Australian Women’s Weekly and Australian House & Garden.
Green also served as editor in chief of Bauer’s Homes magazine division and most recently worked for TerraCycle Australia & New Zealand as its head of communication & marketing.
Leek, meanwhile, relaunched ELLE magazine in 2015 before serving as the publication’s editor in chief. She also served as fashion news editor at InStyle and Vogue Australia as well as contributing fashion editor at British Condé Nast title Glamour.
Green joined Medium Rare on 9 January with Leek joining on 23 January. Green will report to Julie Lee, head of content, food & homes. Leek, meanwhile, will report to Kirsten Galliot, head of content, travel & luxury.
“We are delighted to welcome Lisa and Genevra to the Medium Rare team. Both bring a wealth of editorial experience and gravitas to our agency, and will be integral to our growth in 2023 and beyond,” said Nick Smith, Medium Rare’s managing director.
The pair join the more than 200 staff at Medium Rare’s growing Sydney office. The agency also has staff in offices in Melbourne and New Zealand.
Medium Rare has been on something of a roll, having won seven categories at the UK Content Marketing Awards last year, including the coveted Agency of the Year gong.
