Bang PR, M&C Saatchi’s public relations and social business, has appointed Porter Novelli managing director Annalise Brown to managing director.
Brown comes to Bang with more than 15 years’ experience in the owned and earned media spaces where she has worked across financial services, airlines, electronics, alcohol, food, fashion, entertainment, automotive and FMCG.
In her time at Porter Novelli, Brown rose to managing director and sat on the Clemenger BBDO Sydney management team.
Brown was instrumental in growing the Porter Novelli business and had similar success with lengthy stints as managing director at first Spin then Splendid Communications.
Launched 10 years ago, Bang PR has been a key contributor to M&C Saatchi’s integrated offering since its acquisition by the group in February 2012.
Major clients include: Universal Sony, Vivid Festival, Luna Park, Camp Gallipoli, Australian Cancer Research Foundation, UBet and V8 Supercars.
M&C Saatchi CEO, Jaimes Leggett said of the appointment: “Annalise is the perfect person to both lead Bang and amplify our clients’ brands across the M&C Saatchi Group.
“Her record as a business leader is second to none. We’re thrilled to have her on board.”
Brown said: “This is an exciting time for our business and indeed our industry. I’m looking forward to growing the opportunities within the agency and collaborating with the broader group to identify new ones.”
Brown replaces former Bang PR MD Narelle Craig, who has moved overseas to pursue new opportunities.
